Welcome to the C Division

Our "C" Division is finally in place. The outcome of a January 23rd game determined that the NSWHL's first "C" Division is made up of Athens, Eastern Shore, Scotia Stars, Surge, Warriors and West Hants.

The "B" Division comprises the undefeated Formation Halifax Mariners and Shepherds, the Hillcrest Flyers, Sportwheels, Conrads Cougars and Frostbite. Best of luck to all teams in the final stretch towards playoffs.

Playoffs are April 2-4 in Windsor & Brooklyn. All players must have played 1/3 of eligible games with their team to be allowed to compete in playoffs.

Second half schedule update

The second half schedule for A is online and FINAL (we think). A partial schedule is up for B/C. We need to wait for the outcome of a future game to determine the final B/C split so the posting of the rest of B and C schedules will be coming as soon as the split is determined. The games currently listed for B and C are a mixture of make up games and second half games.

H1N1 Precautions

Because of concerns about the spread of H1N1 flu virus teams should consider leaving gloves on for the end-of-game handshakes and players should bring their own water bottles to avoid sharing with others. Hockey Nova Scotia's memo discusses it in more detail, but simple changes of habit can help to reduce the possibility of spreading viruses around.
